Getting back into the swing of things, it is time to get ready for Christmas.
Austin is ready for a Merry Christmas! Our outdoor living room is decorated and ready for a celebration.
We had an early Christmas Gathering because friends Linda and Bob were in town. Pictured are Dottie, Lew, MJ, John, Nita, Ken, Bob, Linda, Andy and Linda.
The lights look much better in person, but this picture is not too bad.
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2013
Every December the town of Somerton has their annual Tamale Festival - this year we went with Lew & Dottie to check it out.
There are many booths lining the main drag in Somerton. The lines were much longer when we got there, but after a while the booths start to run out of Tamales, then it is easy to get to them. It was amazing the variety of Tamales - from the usual all the way to Cream Cheese, Chili & Cheese,
Chocolate and many more.
Doesn't this just make your mouth water? They were delicious!
The line for Beer! Always long, but so worth it. Even though it is December, it is quite warm here in the Desert Southwest.
Every year a section of the Foothills really goes all out to decorate for Christmas. Every lot in the block is so bright and colorful - kids love it, but us older kids really enjoy it also. Really had to get good pictures, but you can get an idea of some of what goes on. Well worth an evening drive!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! We spent a quiet evening and celebrated the passing of 2013 alone. We had a wonderful 2013 and are hoping for a fantastic 2014!!!
